when i try to get closer, they tend to go further

people you know,
people you care,
people you love,
people you spend time with,
people you believe in,
are often those who don't understand you.

they want you to understand them,
that's why they won't care of what you want.

there were times when I want to catch up things I've lost.
but, it means nothing for them.
it never meant anything.
maybe they even thought of me as a bug.

it was never enough, wasn't it?
it's hard to be what others expect you to be.

at least i'm trying here, hard enough for you to realize.
